Mathematics
Mathematics at this age is about noticing: more and less, full and empty, same and different, one more. Toddlers meet it through sorting socks into pairs, pouring until the cup overflows, stacking until the tower falls and counting the steps to the door. The activities here were tagged for Mathematics because they are built around those ideas, even though none of them look anything like a maths lesson. You do not have to count out loud, though it helps, and you do not need to correct a wrong guess either. Just do the activity, name what you see, and the maths comes along with it on its own.
