• two piles or baskets

How to do it

1. Tip clean laundry onto the floor in one pile.
2. Point to two baskets: one for towels, one for clothes.
3. Hold up an item and ask which basket it goes in.
4. Let your toddler carry items over and drop them in.

Deciding where each item belongs builds early categorising skills through simple, physical choices.
