Who's Hiding?
What you need
- four photos of family members
- a tea towel
How to do it
- Lay four family photos in a row and name each person together.
- Ask them to close their eyes while you cover one photo with the tea towel.
- Ask 'who's hiding?' and let them guess.
- Lift the tea towel to check, then swap so they hide one for you.
Why it matters
Remembering who's missing from a row of faces they love is a memory game with the best pictures.
What they're learning
- Remembering
- Working out who has gone means holding the whole row in mind.
- Family names
- Every guess is a name said out loud.
- Taking turns
- They get to hide one for you too.
What to look for
Notice them scanning along the row before they answer.
A tip
Print a few photos or use ones from the fridge, so the game is ready whenever you want it.
Make it easier or harder
Easier: use just two photos
Harder: use five or six photos, or move them about before you cover one
