Toddler activities with a ball
A soft ball, or a rolled-up pair of socks, is all you need for rolling, tossing, kicking and chasing indoors. The activities here use a ball as the main prop and are written for a living room, not a park. They build hand-eye coordination, balance and turn-taking, which is a bigger deal than it sounds at eighteen months. Most work with any size of ball and a couple use a laundry basket as the goal. Each one has clear steps, what your child is learning and an easier or harder version.
