Teddy Tea Party

What you need

• 2-3 soft toys
• empty cups or bowls
• a small cloth
• a few toy spoons

How to do it

1. Sit the toys round a low table or blanket
2. Ask your toddler to pour pretend tea and hand out cups
3. Take turns being 'served' and say thank you out loud
4. Wrap it up by tucking the toys in for a nap

Why it matters

Pretending to serve and share teaches your toddler to think about what someone else needs, one small step before real kindness.
